Map & Compass

Typically, our troop has a campout event every month, most generally planned for the first weekend of each month.

Unless directed otherwise, scouts should arrive at the Scout Hut by 4pm on Friday evening of the campout weekend, having already eaten dinner, or bringing along a sack dinner to be taken with them to camp.

There is to be NO EATING in the bus, as required by the church, so scouts will not have a chance to eat until they reach camp.

Depending upon the camp destination, (and travel duration) we may make a stop en-route for a restroom break, and the opportunity may exist for scouts to purchase snacks at a convenience store, provided they have extra spending cash.

Generally, the troop returns early Sunday afternoon, unless noted otherwise. Please make arrangements to have someone pickup your scout after all gear has been properly stowed at the Scout Hut. Scouts will be able to call parents once we arrive at the Scout Hut, if necessary.

* Mess kits are required for every campout for both environmental and economical responsibility in reduction of paper product usage and trash generation.
