Bear Creek Scout Reservation

125 Bear Creek Scout Road, Hunt, Texas 78024

On this ruggedly beautiful reservation in the Texas Hill Country, youth, families, and adult volunteers of all ages enjoy weekends, day excursions, and week long summer camp experience.

Bear Creek is located 20 miles west of Kerrville, Texas, which lies on Interstate 10. Take Highway 27 west of Kerrville six miles to Ingram. In Ingram, take Highway 39 six miles to Hunt. In Hunt, turn onto FM 1340 and go six miles to Bear Creek.

A Physical is required prior to attending camp.

You may have you physical at the Medical Arts Clinic by Dr. Mobley. He asks that you come to the office on Wednesdays between 3:30 and 4:30pm for the scout physical. Make sure you tell the office it is for Troop 345..

Cost is $10. (Athletic physicals may be done at the same time for additional cost)

Make sure you bring your pre-filled out BSA Health Form


Please be sure to turn in the following:



Signed physicals (include copy of Insurance card)


Youth Protection Training (Adult Campers)


Sex Offender Registration Search (Adult Campers)


Adult Registration


Final Camp Fee Payment



Adults that will be taking the Troop to Camp are Rob Warrick, Mike Malone, Roger Bennett. If other parents are interested in going with the troop, please talk to Rob Warrick, Mike Betz, or Donnie Cox .



Again, this year we have more scouts going to camp than there is room for in vehicles. We have (1) parent planning to come up for the return trip home, which will accommodate up to 5 scouts, but we need help getting several scouts up to camp on the 5th, and may need help with the return trip home! Please speak to one of the leaders if you can help with transportation to/from camp. We no longer have church buses available for transportation, so we are relying on parents help!
